WARSAW — One driver was transported to the hospital following a semi vs. car accident.
At approximately 7:54 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, Homer Noel, 42, Culp Lake Road, Cedartown, GA, was traveling east in a semi on U.S. 30. Brooke Edwards, 44, Bashor Road, Goshen, was also traveling east on U.S. 30, but in the opposite lane as Noel.
While approaching the intersection, Edwards switched her vehicle into the left lane in front of Noel’s semi. The light turned yellow and Edwards slowed down and stopped for the light. Noel was not able to stop his semi in time and rearended Edwards’ vehicle.
Edwards was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for complaints of back, neck and head pain. It was noted in the report that through the city limits of Warsaw trucks and semis are to use the right lane of traffic.
Damage is estimated up to $10,000.
